Mr. Hanson was my favorite teacher and had a very positive impact on my life. He taught me to appreciate fine craftsmanship and helped me to not take life so seriously. I have fond memories of him and made lasting friendships with other students in his classroom. Any student would be blessed to have a teacher half as kind and thoughtful as he was, I will truly miss him.
It was truly a blessing having Mr. Hanson as a teacher, he was the most encouraging teacher I ever had. Mr. Hanson has taught me to appreciate what I can do and ultimately he taught me to keep exploring what I like. This teacher saw something in me and encouraged me to keep up the art and continue the creativity. Thanks to him he helped me become a pro-photographer. Rest in Peace...
Mr. Hanson was the sweetest teacher around Silver Creek High School. He always welcomed students in at recess and lunch with a warm smile. My sister and I would always go to his classroom to finish up projects. I always looked forward to his crafts that he would have us make in art class and the way he taught us. His presence will truly be missed.
Eric, gone too soon! Eric is my nephew. He is the most gifted individual I know. He did a small watercolor years ago as a gift which I cherish. He did a painting of a street scene in Sacramento in 1985 when my Dad, his Grandpa, was in Mercy Hospital. Beautiful beyond words. Shelley, I hope you find peace surrounded by his beautiful creations. Eric, you will be missed, never forgotten. Love
Having Mr.Hanson as a teacher was one my high school highlights. I spent every lunch period in his class creating new art pieces. He always welcomed my friends and even let them try the pottery wheel. I always enjoyed listening to his stories about everything. He truly has inspired me to being more creative and to enjoy life to the fullest. I love and miss you Mr.Hanson. Love, Emily lam.
Mr. Hanson was an amazing teacher. His classroom was a sanctuary for many students. We would all do our homework or just eat our lunch in his class. He always had a positive energy about him and we are grateful for the life lessons he taught us. He was funny, kind, and compassionate. Thank you Mr. Hanson for always putting a smile on our faces! You are so missed. Love, Celine Le.
I am 60 today, it's 8:00 am and I remember my colleague and friend Eric. We began at Silver Creek in 1989 and until his retirement shared jokes, daily chats, and art appreciation. He introduced me to the great outdoors of Almaden Valley. I realized his artistry when he made for me a tranquil forest watercolor scene. As I piece together this day, I think of my friend Eric and I smile.
