You are one of the few role models of mine during my junior high and high school years. I learned so much(without realizing it at the time) from watching you and Betty help raise your grandson, Shane. I know we’ve lost touch since then, but the memories and lessons that you taught by example are ones that I still hold sacred to this day. God speed sir. I salute you, the life you lived and the memories you leave behind.

I had the HONOR and PRIVILEGE of being Emmett's Guardian on the Honor Flight of September 19, 2009.  I was blessed by him allowing me to accompany him on this very special day. Spending the day with Emmett profoundly impacted me. He was an incredibly special man!
