I was friends with Elliott at Service. We sat together often in classes, with a near-constant stream of jokes between us. His kindness and goodness were always apparent. Elliott was obviously a brilliant person, but he was also a delight. He was a bright light and I will dearly miss him. I offer my sincere condolences to his friends and loved ones.
Elliot was my intern during our time in Richmond almost 20 years ago. But I remember him fondly as a very hard working, always smiling and very pleasant person. He was excellent with his patients. He loved Alaska so much that I still think of him every time Alaska is mentioned. He’s still here through his legacy: through his parents who raised him wonderfully; through his wife and family whom he loved; through his colleagues who respected him highly; through his patients who benefited from his care greatly and finally through his life that touched humanity profoundly.
Elliot was an exceptional person and a brilliant surgeon. He will be missed terribly by all who knew him. He will be remembered forever by all who loved him. May he rest in peace.
