In loving memory of Ellen, a beautiful person inside and out, whose presence was a blessing to all of us.
Ellen was more than just a family friend; she was a source of comfort and kindness. Her joyful spirit was a constant reminder of the beauty in life’s simplest moments. Whether she was sharing a story, offering a helping hand, or simply being there to listen, her kindness touched our hearts.
She and the love of her life, Joe treated my family as their own; they treated my son, Anri, as if he were one of their own grandchildren, creating a bond that went beyond friendship. Anri will always remember their smiles and their candid interest in what he was really up to. Together, Ellen and Joe became another set of grandparents for him. Their home was always a place of warmth and comfort for Anri and us, and especially for my parents, Frida and Rinush, whom they generously opened their doors to. I am eternally grateful for Ellen and Joe who both made my parents feel cherished and safe.
Ellen had a unique gift for making people feel special, always showing genuine interest in others’ lives. I will keep my memories of her first trip to Albania close to my heart forever. Her curiosity knew no bounds; she was forever eager to learn something new, explore new places, and connect with people from all walks of life.
Rest in peace, dear Ellen, and thank you for being part of our lives. You will be forever missed and always remembered with love.
Please accept the condolences of the Emmanuel College community upon Ellen's passing. We will add her name to the intentions at our next Memorial Mass.
May her soul, and all those of our dear departed Alumnae, family and friends rest in peace and rise in glory.
