I have such fond memories of your mom who was always so welcoming, engaging, and fun. I still have the Dr. Suess book you guys gave me (I think her idea) for our gradutaion,  and  I think of her every year on the night before Thanksgiving since we got Thai take out at your house once and Billy suggest3ed that be a new tradition.  Fond memories of her at the Kite store and beach house too
