Elaine passed away peacefully in the morning of Wednesday August 1st at Hayward Hills Health Care Center at the age of 82.
Elaine was born and raised in Defiance, Ohio, and moved to California in 1970. She had a long life marked by laughter and kindness to all that knew her. Elaine loved gardening with the local Garden Club and enjoyed volunteering with St. Vincent de Paul and Our Lady of Grace church, where she was active with the Women’s Senior Guild.
She is survived by her partner, Don Jordan; her children Lee and Annie Baker, Peggy Baker, and Linda Baker; as well as grandchildren Glenn Baker and Sierra and Jason Renter. She also leaves her sister Virginia Wholf, and will be truly missed.
There will not be a formal service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dementia Society of America to support their mission.
