Ace Shibata was my Commander at Kadena AB, Okinawa, 1973-75. He was a model of integrity, fairness and mission focus and his genuine care for his people made him one of the best leaders I saw in my 45+ year professional career. I had the privilege of knowing and working for Ace Shibata at Kadena AB,Okinawa, 1973-75. Ace was dedicated, professional, fair, and supportive of all. He was also the life of the party when we celebrated as an Air Force family while welcoming and saying good by to departing members.
