I worked with Ed on the Sydney Olympics and traveled with him to Madrid and Sydney during that 2 year time period.  He was a wonderful mentor, colleague, and friend.  I will remember him for his intellect, wit, tenacity, and especially for his willingness to speak up when something wasn’t right.  I too loved ice skating.  Wishing all of my best to his family.

I worked with Ed during his tenure in the High Performance Computing and Technical Computing groups at Microsoft. He was an excellent mentor, collaborator and colleague, always willing to offer his time, his sage advice, and candid feedback.  And he always found a way to add levity to a situation and put things in perspective.  Best wishes to his family - Ed will be remembered and missed.

I was a baby sitter for Paul and Marian while attending RWC School of Nursing. Darryl and I continued a friendship established in Columbus, continuing over the years. We visited them in Poughkeepsie and Los Gatos, the last time about 20 years ago. The last couple of years I have been searching to send cards. I am saddened by his passing and am sending prayers and hugs to all of you.
