Edward Lee Waters was born on May 10th 1943 in Hope, Arkansas .  He was the 4th born to the late Elee and Zary Waters.  He was predeceased by his brothers Leon and James Waters.

He made his life in Oakland California where he graduated from Castlemont high school and learned the skill of carpentry in his younger years, building houses with his Father. He met Madelyn Thomas who he would later marry in 1975  and start a family with.  He spent several years working as an assemblyman for General Motors in Fremont California while continuing his carpentry work part time repairing and remolding homes.  He worked for at least 30 years before finally retiring in 19xx.  He enjoyed his favorite hobbies fishing, hunting, camping, watching Sci-Fri, sports, gardening, and building as he renovated his home. He also grew profoundly interested in the world of technology and taught himself how to build and repair computers.  He was married to Madelyn for more than 30 years before she passed away in 2007.

Ed accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior before passing away peacefully in his home after battling Parkinson’s disease and dementia. He will forever be remembered by his daughter and son Kimberly and Anthony Waters, grandson Anthony Waters Jr., stepdaughter Yolanda Forrest, sisters Olivia Landreaux and Hazel Owens, brothers Lindell and Austin Waters, nieces Rachel Landreaux and Cheryl Kindred, Barbara Gistand, and Regina Owens, nephews Greg and Michael Landreaux, Dinero L. Waters and Christopher J. Owens and many more.
