Edward J Nelson Jr, age 71, formerly of Quincy, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 3, surrounded by family. Ed is survived by his former wife, Pam DiMatteo Nelson; his son Brian Nelson; his four siblings, Lynne O’Riorden, Virginia Sutherland and husband John, David Nelson and wife Maureen, and Laura Dalton and husband John; and numerous loving nieces and nephews, relatives, and friends. He will always be remembered for his pride in his son Brian, his great love for and enjoyment of family and friends, his sense of humor and entrepreneurial spirit, his passion for skiing and roller-coasters, and his desire to give back to the city he loved. A private memorial will be held by his family.
