I remember my uncle as being a vivacious, strong, funny and very sweet mountain man with a unique point of view. He had a crazy and infectious laugh that helped out a moody teenage girl from becoming too serious. May he rest in peace, he definitely deserves it.
"Crazy Eddie" is what I called him. He was very mischievous and playful. He would grab me in a bear hug. One time I had enough and gave him a warning. He didn't listen. So, I flipped him in the air with a judo move. He laid sprawled on the floor with a startled look and started laughing his crazy laugh. That ended that.. But, he continued his challenges and playfulness. Our fun times.
Had some great times with Eddie when he first came to California in the mid 70's. The guys nicknamed him "Eddgie" because he always was adventurous and lived on the edge. A good hearted man gone too soon.
RIP
