Dear family, I had the honor and pleasure of working with Dr Spellman at St Elizabeth's for 30 years. He was a rare man for the times. Working with him was a learning experience every day as teaching was his greatest asset. As nurses we admired him tremendously. He respected nurses and treated us as equals always. He was also lots of fun!
