When Betsy was at NASW and then moved back to Ulster County we maintained a professional relationship supported by a deep mutual appreciation of our shared dedication to social work and personal values. She was an inspiration to us at the Oncology Support Program in Kingston and a personal joy to me for her friendship and brilliant perspectives about our work!

I had the pleasure of getting to know Betsy from our work together on the Board of Directors of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. I learned so much from Betsy, she was one of the smartest women I have ever known. She shared her wisdom, grace and humor so easily. My sympathies to her family. May her memory be a blessing.
