Dr. White taught me so much, a U of Tennessee grad, through our involvement in the VPhA. I frequently sat at his table at breakfasts and banquets and enjoyed his many stories. I had the utmost admiration and respect for him. Teresa Pigue Graham, Past President 1998-99
Dr White taught me pharmacy law at Shenandoah University. He was a great man and truly made a difference in the field of pharmacy. Rest in peace Sir.
Dr White taught me Pharmacy Law at MCV. He was Dean of the Pharmacy School when I had my interview for Pharmacy school. I enjoyed his class and all the stories he added to make it more interesting. He was a remarkable man. My favorite teacher. I cannot imagine all the lives he touched at that school. I am thankful that I met him and so very sorry for your loss. Praying for the family
The world of pharmacy has truly lost a legend!! Dr. White was probably the most admired pharmacy school professor that I ever had. He was able to make Pharmacy Law a very interesting topic by telling stories of real life events that shaped our pharmacy laws in Virginia. He will also be remembered for his contributions to the VPhA and it's Foundation. What a great and admired man!
I am one of many, many grateful students that Dr. White taught--and we are all better pharmacists for receiving the gift of his experience, wisdom, and humor.
After more than 40-years, I can still feel his hand upon my shoulder with his comforting guidance.
Sleep Well, Gene.
Gene was excellent during admission process for me. He was always the gentleman. As law instructor he was very informative during class. As fraternity advisor he was very thorough during the entire initiation. He was always there for the student and the profession. He will be gravely missed by various schools that he worked at and by various friends. Please give my sympathy to the family.
On behalf of Phi Delta Chi Pharmacy Fraternity, we were saddened to hear of the death of our Brother Dr.Clifford "Gene" White. On behalf of our National Office, Executive Council, and Brotherhood we send our sincerest condolences and prayers.
AAAE,
Andrea Bourque- Grand President
Dr. Gene White was one of the most outstanding faculty members at MCV, and he was partially responsible for me getting into the School. Dr. White had one of his first pharmacist jobs at a small retail drug store in Reedville, VA my hometown. I met him many years before I darkened the door at MCV, never realizing how important getting to know him would be in my future. Wonderful man!
