Dorothy was a treasure who set the standard for us all. May we carry her loving spirit with us always and remember her smile and classy demeanor.
When I told my younger sister that Dorothy was sick, her first response was, “That’s so sad...she was always so kind to me and made me feel included in your group of friends.” That about sums up Dory - happy, positive, kind, & loving. May we all spend our lives paying it forward. Love to the Nelsons.
I met Dorothy at the townhouse several of our friends shared in Old Town, Alexandria. I remember hearing that she was the girl Nelson went out with. I thought to myself, “this girl talks to me like she’s known me forever.” I called her “Dorita” and she always called me Pollin. I guess “Eric” was taken. One thing is sure, he never looked back for good reason. Dorothy was the best of us.
