I will cherish all the memories that I got to share with you and will always hold a very special place in my heart. You will be loved and missed greatly ??

One of my greatest joys was working with Kent and being his friend for 40 years.  A silly great memory was I questioned him how could It be possible after all the babies you delivered that he did not know Spanish.   We decided he only knew “Vaginal Spanish”! We laughed until we cried.  I hope he is playing tennis! And taking everybody’s money at the poker table!   Love, Churchill

You have helped me understand how to be the best physician I can be. You have given me the road to a future of medicine in your second home. I love you for being the person you are and for having that passion until the day that someone else was blessed to have you. I cried when you passed and regret not having one more kiss on my cheek. Thank you for everything. I promise to do my best!

We have lost a beacon of Physician excellence, moral integrity and heartfelt compassion.  A leader and teacher for all of us at Contra Costa Health Services during good times and trying times.  My personal hero.  I miss him dearly.   Bill Walker

I grew up in Iowa with Kent and every one of our classmates admired Kent. He was our Class President and very responsible and wise. I admired the challenges which he had to overcome to continue his medical practice along with his two hobbies where he created wonderful gardens and was very skilled in his woodworking.
So glad to have known both Kent and Nancy

The "Doc" as I called him was our families Doctor for over 20 years and was always great for us.
With his passing another Icon of our small City has left us and it is people such as the "Doc" that makes up the great history and character of Martinez.
Others will carry on in his absence but very few will obtain his level of reverence.

He delivered my son in 1980 and my daughter in 1984 (this time from his wheelchair). She was due on Halloween so I told him I would show up wearing a mask. He said," Hey, I will too!" Made me laugh right out loud. He was a wonderful doctor through so many of my family's ailments, and he deserves much gratitude. Thank you, Dr Hobert. Well done.

Dr. Hobert was an absolute wonderful, caring and kind man. I may have only knew him as my doctor, but I have never had a more compassionate MD. He cared about the health of his patients, and took care of them irregardless of their financial problems. I have never met another like him, and probably never will.
I will never forget him.

Dr Hobert was a wonderful doctor who had a great sense of humor and tons of compassion. When I was going through chemo I started crying in his office and told him I didn’t want to be bald at our sons wedding. He rubbed his head and said “what’s wrong with that” . He made me laugh! My family and I will truly miss him. Sending Our love and prayers to his family. Thank you for sharing him.

I will miss Kent.  Even though he had his own health problems over the last couple of years, his care and compassion shone through. My love goes out to Nancy, and my dear friend Beth, her sister and brother.  I hope he's having a drink with his friend Glen.

Dr. Hobert made me smile every time I saw him. He taught me to play tennis, took us to many Alhambra football games, often called Beth and I "turkeys" - I have so many fond memories of time spent with you all. Dr. Hobert was an incredibly positive influence in my life. I will miss him but never forget him. Love to you Nancy, Tim, Beth, and Amy, and my deepest condolences.

Dr. Hobert saved my life. He found my cancer, after other doctors had dismissed my concerns. My family and I are forever grateful for his expertise, skill and dogged determination to discover what was wrong with me. Thank you, and God bless you and your loved ones.

My husband and I are saddened to hear of Dr. Hobert’s passing. He was a wonderful man and Doctor. He took great care of us and was always willing to give us an appointment at a moments notice. I appreciate the care he gave to my family
My heart goes out to his wife, Beth and all his family.
May he Rest In Peace .

Rest in Peace Kent. Thank you for your love, guidance and support throughout my life and thank you for being such a great friend to my Mom and Dad. At so many stages of their lives you and Nancy were the rock they leaned on. Love to Nancy, Tim, Beth, Amy and the extended Hobart clan. I am looking forward to giving you all a hug soon.

You were such a blessing to our family.  I used to tell my friends that I had a real doctor.  Your treatment was so personal, Beth took care of many things and you were always there for us.  Even though you had to use your wheelchair nothing stopped you.  We will always miss you but we are so thankful we had you in our lives.  Love to your family you are all in our prayers.

Dr. Hobert was my Doctor for about 18 years. I appreciated his style and simplistic approach to healthcare. Often he would just look at me and say "you're ok" and I immediately felt better. My thoughts and prayers are with Beth and family.

Our family met Dr Hobert in 1976 right after we moved to the area from southern California. He remained our doctor all these many years. He became a good friend and mentor and was always there for us. My husband called him Kent which shocked me the first time he did it. Dr Hobert was fine with it. God rest your wonderful soul Dr Hobert we will never forget you.
