In loving memory of my Aunt Dianna with gratitude for her love and kindnesses to both me and my large family over the decades! From Christmas gifts to birthday cards to family reunions to making the long drives up to Alberta to see us Aunt Dianna and Uncle Maynard's love and memories will be cherished forever! Love and my deepest sympathies, Mark Boody
Being around Aunt Dianna was such a joy. She lived life with gusto and didn't let infirmities stop her from doing as best she could whatever she desired to do. I have many wonderful memories that involve her playing cards, camping, feeding mobs of people wonderfully creative meals, drinking coffee; normal, everyday things were enhanced by her love, generosity, and humor. We are bereft. Mim
How we loved visits with Aunt Dianna and Uncle Maynard! I second the sentiments that Mark and Mim have eloquently stated. My earliest memories of her include being very thrilled with all the wonderful Avon samples she would share with my mom. I especially loved those tiny, tiny tubes of lipstick! Always generous and thoughtful she will be sorely missed. Love and sympathies to the family.
I am thinking of the Maas family as I write from Accra, the capital of Ghana. I ditto what my siblings have said. It was Aunt Dianna who introduced dirt cake to our family-such a yummy treat! During my college days in Ironwood I drove down for a Thanksgiving weekend. I arrived in the evening and Dianna warmed up supper for me in a microwave, the first time I had seen one in operation!
We regret not being able to get to the Memorial service. Dianna was like a sister to us and we loved her so much. She was a real inspiration to me, Marcia, in so many ways, especially in our younger days. We will miss telephone calls and their annual visit up here in Canada and the hundreds of Rook games we played. She courageously faced and dealt with health problems .
