This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Despine Coulis, 82, born on October 3rd, 1936 and passed away on May 28th, 2019. We will remember her forever.
Mom, you were a beautiful, intelligent, hard working selfless woman who touched so many lives. I am only beginning to understand how revered you are. I miss you so much already and I will miss our daily phone conversations, 10am on weekends and 7pm during the week. I love you and I hope you left this world feeling confident that I would take good care of your grandchildren and of myself.
To those who were family and friends of Despine, I want to say how much she touched so many lives at DDS, her last place of employment. Such a unique and inspiring woman, with many amazing stories to share! I met her when I began working 15 years ago, and immediately saw her strength, impressed that she went to medical school during a time when women rarely did. She will be forever missed.
Yiayia, I already miss you so much. Thinking about you’re sweet “helloooo” when you picked up the phone and how you’d say “yup..yup....yup” in conversation. Claire and I miss you so much. We talk about the cute yiayia mannerisms we will miss. I will miss going to the symphony with you. I hope you didn’t suffer long, and knew we were there with you at the end. I love you yiayia
I just saw Dr. C’s obituary today. She was my pedi at GLP from the day she arrived (I was 2) until the day she left to be with her fam. My family and I were so sad to see her go. She left fond memories in my heart. I enjoyed seeing her even when I was sick. She always made me laugh with her fun antics, but was the smartest physician I have ever known. God got another good one! RIP Dr. C!
