I feel honored to have been friends with Dave. He was highly intelligent, a good listener and a compassionate man.  Some people misunderstood his dry sense of humor.  Once I got to know him better after two, or three meetings, it became clear to me..... he was a really good guy !  I will always have fond memories of Dave. Rest in peace Mister Thorpe !
