I knew David throughout elementary school and high school and we stayed in contact on occasion through out our entire lives. We played music together with our friend Suzanne Buckley during our high school years in a "Peter, Paul and Mary" kind of folk group. I have many treasured memories from those times and to this day David was one of the most loving and gentle souls I ever new.
Although I've been waiting to see the inevitable announcement of David's passing in the paper, it was a tough reality check to see him looking out at me this morning. This portrait perfectly captures the kind, gentle, caring, inquisitive and humorous man that we all loved. RIP my dear friend.
David and I were loving friends since 1968, and Diane a beloved sister since David met her. I consider Amy and Clare my goddaughters. They are my true family. Losing David means a deep hole in my heart and soul. He was always funny, brilliant, creative, learned, among the smartest of people I’ve known. He left the world a better place, the best tribute possible.
