I am writing to offer my condolences to your family.  Death certainly isn't anything that God ever wanted for us.  I have found this Scripture to be a source of comfort.  It's found at Revelation 21:4 "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore."
