A SERRA MAN. THAT EXPLAINS ALL OF HIS LIFE. GOD BLESS. FROM '73
Friend, mentor, second father . . . Danny was a part of my life for more than fifty years. We met as neighbors in Millbrae in the late 60s where Greg and I became lifelong friends as did my father with Danny. Such fond memories of our family vacations to Bear Valley, waterskiing on Lake Berryessa and the annual 4th of July race. And the Mother’s Days at the O Club. Never a kinder human being in the world. Danny was truly a great man!
Danny, I want you to know that our friendship of 50 plus years meant a lot to me. Remember when we met in our early 20s? You’d pick me up at the gas station where I worked and we’d go to the Putter, where you introduced me to Fog Cutters. You’d be telling one of your many stories, and I’d be laughing my head off.
You’re part of the history of Joyce and me, since you and a friend were with us on our first date, and were in our wedding when we got married six months later. That was a very memorable first!
We had fun with you and Gerry when we went to SF and had our picture taken with Santa, one of many times we hung out and just enjoyed each other. I look at that picture now and it seems like yesterday.
My retirement at La Foret, one of your favorite places, was memorable when you had everyone in stitches with one of your stories! That also seems like yesterday, and it was 18 years ago!
We enjoyed your generous invitations to the Olympic Club, another of your favorite places, and another enjoyable get-together. You were always a generous friend.
Danny, I’ll miss our weekly phone conversations and hearing your voice. You’ll always be in my thoughts - we shared a lifetime of memories together.
May God hold you in the palm of His hand. Love Chuck & Joyce
You were a great friend for over 30 years and I will always cherish your story telling, our way too many phone calls and especially our fabulous pheasant hunting trips to Oakdale. I will miss you!!

I first met Danny at Wells Fargo in San Jose back in 1980 where we worked together for three years but remained friends forever. Although we didn’t stay in close contact (my fault) Danny was a faithful friend who would always check in on me. His story telling is legendary and never short! Whenever I did speak with Danny it was like no time had passed. He will be missed God rest.
We worked together in San Jose With Wells Fargo for several years. Best story teller ever and my idea of the personification of a leprechaun, a big leprechaun! You’ll be missed Danny boy..
A candle lit for a 50 year friendship. To the best of friends. I will always thing of you. God bless you Danny

My wife Jeanne first met Danny at Ray Park in Burlingame in 1957. I met Danny in 1966 when Jeanne and I were married. We came to regard Danny as one of the kindest, considerate and also greatest story tellers. Danny was generous, fun loving, with a laugh and a smile to brighten any room he entered. We will always treasure Danny's friendship and will never forget him. Jeanne & Tom
After graduating from Santa Clara in 1976 I was assigned to the Westgate branch of Wells Fargo in San Jose. My manager ??? ... Danny Lonergan. Yes, I was extremely lucky ! Began a 44 year friendship I will always cherish.
Uncle Danny the youngest brother of my dad Jim and his brother Pat, was a joy to be around I still recall my Wells Fargo Black Bart t-shirt he gave me as a teenager, I wore it forever. Danny was a great story teller and we had a great time whenever we were together. My 3 brothers and I were very found of Danny. I know he is telling stories and laughing now with my dad and Pat.
We shall miss Uncle Danny but the memories shall be in our hearts forever. If I recall his laughter , stories and kindness its brings a smile and warmth to me. This feeling will last forever and so Danny "Until we meet again" With Love, Brian J. Lonergan
