Dear Igou Family, When my father died in 2010, West Point (My father graduated in 1941) sent me a letter that ended with the following, "And when our work is done, Our course on earth is run, May it be said, "Well done" Be thou at peace." I am so sad the Damon is gone, but will not be forgotten, He is way to young to have his great college send him the same! "Be thou at Peace". Chip Longino

So sad to here about the untimely loss. I served with Damon in Kosovo and he was one of my best battle buddies and a rock. His impact was immense upon the thousands of troops he supported and he was a patriot in every way. I depended on him so much for his superiot intellect and sound judgement. I am sure his brothers in arms will miss him as greatly as his family. Jeff Greb

The last time that I saw Damon was in May 1985.  Reconnected recently via Social Media.  Truly enjoyed our conversations because he was still the extraordinary GREAT American that I went to school with over thirty years ago.  Damon always brought a huge ray of sunshine into my world and that will not change whenever thoughts of him enter my mind.  BE THOU AT PEACE.  Love you Brother!!!

Damon has always been and always will be my hero. He was my cousin, but we grew up as brothers.  He was a man of unquestionable integrity. He was a devoted husband and father.  He was a great leader.  Many years ago, he helped lead me to my Savior, Jesus Christ.  Always a servant of Jesus, he will continue serve to the glory of our King.

Dear Igou Family, Damon was a close friend of mine where he worked.  I know the sense of loss you feel is great and everyone will miss him immensely.  My prayer is that the Lord would hold you all close in His heart and comfort you during your time of sorrow.  Damon's departure from this life is truly Heaven's gain. He was a great coworker and a truly upright man.

Damon had an infectious laugh. He was a terrific soldier and friend. He will be missed. I hope his family can take comfort in knowing how proud of you all he was. God Speed.

I want to extend my deepest sympathy for the loss to his family. He was a gifted leader, and patriot. He was my Chief Of Staff during the Kosovo deployment and I was his G3.  I will always remember his firm steady leader ship style. His care for soldiers, the mission & bringing everyone back safe.  A True leader, rest easy Sir, We were all blessed to know you & have you as our Chief.
