Welcome to the memorial website of Dale Nakashima. Her kind personality and giving heart are dearly missed.
Dale,
I will never forget the wisdom and
knowledge you shared. My dogs are healthier and have lived longer.
You arel missed by many people.
The legacy you left and your warmth of heart will be remembered.
The knowledge you so generously shared enriched the lives of myself and my dogs. You will be missed. I will remember the good times
You are the person who raised me in the US. You are very kind person, and even if I failed, you helped me. I will never forget the warmth of your heart. Noa
I met Dale when I was starting dog agility and she was fading out, into tracking ~1995. Even though I only caught the edge of her smile and enthusiasm, her kind spirit and generosity are what I have always remembered and been enriched by. Always there after Bay Team/NADAC/Meiklejohn agility trial teardown, area-searching the lawn for someone's lost car keys...
When I got my first dog I found out about tracking and ended up in Dale's tracking classes in 1996 and on for several years. She was always patient and calm and full of good humor, even if we were tracking in the pouring rain. I really enjoyed this introduction to dog sports and 'dog' people and remember those times with much fondness.
I've never seen a trainer who could train a dog to track aged for a month. I've never met a dog who could keep tracking until one's nose and paws bleeding, and pass out unless someone force the dog to stop. that is Dale and her heart dog, Brig. You taught me how to trust a dog and dog's ability is beyond our imagination. You are greatly missed. Maki Takai
