I am sorry to hear of your loss
Death certainly isn't anything that God ever intended for us.  I have found this Scripture to be of comfort to me.  It's found at Isaiah 25:8 "He will swallow up death forever, And the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces.".
