It was my privilege to work with Curtis in the Los Altos School District. He was always a true professional, and teaching was his calling. He was a master teacher and took district leadership roles in the science department, summer school, and by representing the district in corporate-school partnerships. He made science approachable, interesting, and at times entertaining for students.
Mr. Schneider opened his classroom to all students every lunch at Egan middle school. For two years I spent every lunch there playing chess, occasionally with Mr. Schneider himself.
He always went above and beyond in every way imaginable. He was one of the most impactful individuals in my personal development and growth. Thank you Mr. Schneider.
Curtis will be greatly missed at Second Harvest. He was my volunteer for almost 4 years, but more than that, he was an amazing! He was a family man, talking about his wife, 2 children, and in-laws. Curtis had so many great stories and dreams, I loved hearing about them every Wednesday. He was instrumental to the many pilots we had at the food bank. Will never forget Curtis!
