I am a tremendously blessed child. I have had the honor of knowing 2 great-grandparents, 4 grandparents and am still blessed with the healthy, thriving parents of my own. My children have lived in a world with great-grandparents and grandparents (still alive) present in their lives. Yes, Lord, I am blessed.
My family has had to endure pain, but none like any of losing a child. For that, I am also blessed.
In Deuteronomy 15:10, the Bible says, "You shall generously give to him, and your heart shall not be grieved when you give to him, because for this thing the LORD your God will bless you in all your work and in all your undertakings.”
My heart is not grieving, for I know that God needed another Angel to be our protector; to be our strength and I know through God, all things are good.
My grandfather, as I’ve grown to know him these past few years, was a very strong, spiritual and righteous man. He lived with his convictions through God and taught me a great many things about being a Christian. He was not a man who lived in fear or pain, but in love and faith. I feel better to have known him and I am grateful for the moments I had with him. I am proud to call him Grandpa and I am at peace knowing he is with God.
I pray for all of your healing. I pray for your pain to subside and for you to relish in the gift we know as Curtis, Brother, Uncle, Dad, Grandpa and friend. His life on earth was full and he lived it surrounded by love and left it the same way.
Rest well, Grandpa, and may God continue to hold you close as we will in our hearts and memories always.
Love,
Tonia
The Hutson family and close relatives are very dear to me and although I didn't know Uncle Curtis, my heart goes out to your family through the relationship I have with you. I'm so sorry for your loss and your family is in my prayers. If he is anything like the rest of the family, I know he must have been a phenomenal person.
Love Karen
