I know Corban influenced many of his art students to continue with careers and painting for the rest of their lives. He left a life long impression on me and I have one of his paintings still hanging in my living room. I did visit him in 2016, so it was good reconnect after so many years. My thoughts and love go to him and the family.
I am a little late arriving at this site, to share my condolences. I got word of Corban's death recently, but it is 7 years later. Corban LePell was an invigorating, sensitive conversationalist and a gentle teacher of drawing. He is one of the most inspiring teachers of my life, although I did not contiinue in art, professionally. His famous instructions were, "Make a mark." :^)
