Couldn't have been a nicer couple than Clay and his wife, Miriam Englar. I think they became active in local theater around 1967 or thereabouts. I was welcomed into the community around 1970 and they were involved with all theater companies in some way. Clay through his wisdom and his speaking voice knew how to get everyone's attention, sometimes just to quiet everyone down. Miss them!
My first memory of Clay was doing CCMT's Music Man. I was a geeky 14 year old with no idea what I was heading for. Clay looked after me and made me feel welcome. From his involvement in Celebration for Life, board member of NUDC always encouraging, always open to new work .Im better for having known him, rest well my friend.
Grandpa Clay,
Thank you for your legacy, the world is a better place because of you.
Love,
