This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Clair Styve, 88, born on August 16th, 1932 and passed away on June 20th, 2021.
His quiet generosity helped to better many lives and will be remembered forever.

His gentle humor and welcome warmed hundreds of mornings around the bridge table for us at the downtown Oakland Senior Center
It was always fun to play bridge with Clair. He will be missed.
I liked playing bridge with Clair. He was very consistent in his play and very accepting of all my mistakes. He helped me to be more accepting of others when they messed up. When he slowed down before Covid, he kept his good sense of humor and modeled aging gracefully.
He will be missed - A gentleman at the Bridge table even when others occasionally were not.
Clair was a great person and a good Bridge partner. He will be missed at our Bridge group at the Oakland senior center.
Grandpa Styve was a great man, had a lot of patience, anyways made sure everyone was included, and always made sure to spend as much time as possible with his family.
Very powerful display of respect at the cemetery today. Overwhelming emotions; so intense I couldn't speak.
