To the entire Weld family,
I can’t even begin to imagine the loss you are experiencing. Kit was a person whose warmth, intelligence, wit, and humor touched everyone fortunate enough to know him. Kit had a rare gift: the ability to make anyone feel seen, welcomed, and truly at home. He will be deeply missed. Your entire family is being held in prayer and love.

Uncle Kit was the epitome of what it means to be a truly A+ person. He was such a huge part of our family and it is impossible to imagine it without him. I know he is watching and will "cheers" with us every time even if we don't know it.
Heaven gained an angel and a light on Town Hill dimmed. I love you, Uncle Kit.

I am so sad to hear about Kit's passing and my prayers go out to the Weld family. Years ago, I joined Todd & Weld as a "contract" attorney clipping news articles for Owen Todd's eminent domain cases. 7 years later I was a full fledged attorney trained by a most wonderful collection of attorneys and people, Kit among them. I learned from the best and I will always cherish those times.

Kit was one of the best friends I ever had.  We met as summer associates at Hale and Dorr where we shared an office, told jokes and shot rubber bands at each other.  He was such a funny guy.  We started a law firm with three other H & D folks in 1992 and stayed close even after I left in 2011. I share a photo I took at his induction into the ACTL. A proud day. I miss him terribly already.

Kathy, I was very sorry to learn the sad news that Chris had passed away.  I had the pleasure of first meeting Chris through Weld, Arrowood, Crawford & Cooper and I enjoyed his professionalism and keen sense of humor.  I also remember our making the Todd & Weld and Nobles Day Camp connections so many years later.  My thoughts and prayers are with you, Chris and your entire family

Kathy - Kit was a superb lawyer and more importantly an even better man. He was one of the nicest, most thoughtful persons I have ever known. I am stunned and saddened by this news.  From our days together at Hale and Dorr and for many, many years thereafter we remained friends. Kit will be deeply missed by many, none more so than his family.  My prayers are with you and your family.  Tom

As his obituary said, Chris was a very compassionate person. I worked for him as a new lawyer at Todd & Weld. At first he was intimidating but very quickly his compassion and kindness always shone through. The general consensus was that he was the smartest guy in the room. I’m so sorry for his family’s loss and I will miss him and his presence in the legal community.
