It is with profound sadness that the family of Christine Ciccotelli announce her death on the 8th of April 2021. Chris as she was know to many, was a woman of strength and love. Lena,

My family and I are heartbroken over the loss of a much loved cousin. Her laughter was contagious. Mom says growing up with Chris was always filled with laughter. Even if her jokes were not funny she would be laughing. Always so happy. She will be missed greatly. Sending our love

Christine was everything to my dad. He was the happiest that I had seem him in a very long time. They even followed their dreams and moved down to Florida together, settling into a beautiful home before Christine got sick. Christine was always so bright, positive, and passionate. They were two peas in a pod and she will be so greatly missed. <3

I did not have the pleasure of knowing Christine, but I do have the good fortune to know her daughter, Lena.
Lena, when you described your mom to me you spoke of her strong, bright personality. From how deeply you care about our students' wellbeing, the humor you bring to our work, and the resilience you've shown this past year, your mom's spirit is clearly yours, too. Thinking of you.

Although I haven't seen Chris in years, she was still my cousin - family. I will always remember her laugh - how she always kept everyone around her laughing.  Her energy in life is what I will remember.
Lena, I am so very sorry for the loss of not only your mother, but your best friend. Stay strong- she will always be with you.
