We all miss mom so much, it's hard to make it through each day knowing she's not there to call or stop by or sit on her bed and rub lotion on her feet. But, I realized she is here. She is in each one of us.
Donny, you are our rock, organized, the one who can always be counted on. Not only by our family, but the Donatelli's also. Mom led you toward your job with the city, which allowed you to retire young and be there for mom during these last years. You are smart, just like mom.
Dan, your career followed in Dads footsteps. Dad was so proud to call you a tin knocker, like him. Mom was proud of you too. She was so proud and happy for the way you changed your life. Once you found Terry she knew she didn't have to worry about you anymore. This helped ease her mind during these last years.
Jim, you were the wild one. Always thinking outside the box. Fearless, like mom and dad. You never let your injury get you down, you never complained, just like mom never complained.
Marilyn, you and mom could finish each other's sentences. You could read her mind. You and Kelly were the ones she trusted the most with her care. You are so compassionate, always putting others first. Just like mom. Every time I called, mom would ask about the kids. She never focused on herself, just like you.
Our mom and dad will always be a part of our life and a part of who we are.
To our Dear Nieces and Nephews and your Mates and Children,
This past Sunday was truly Your Mother's Day. In a week or so there will be a National Mother's Day. But none can compare with YOUR Mother's Day. She went to be with your Pop, and what a celebration it was. A lot of catching up to do.
So your, and our agonizing tears of sadness have now been turned into tears of joy. No more suffering, just happiness. Your parents did a wonderful job of raising all of you, preparing you for the life we mortals know, and made you a tight knit family, which is not so common these days.
Now the torch has been passed to you Dara, Don, Danny, Marilyn and Jim. Keep up the good work. We love you, one and all.

I have been having such a hard time missing mom so I thought I would look at the pictures again. I guess it was the wrong thing to do. It still hurts sooo much. I want to take a peek into heaven and make sure mom and pop are together again. I feel strongly that yes they are together. I just wish I had a little more time with her. "Mare, I need you". It is more like "mom, I need you"
I want my mother back. This song says it all.
