Charles was a wonderful cousin and friend over the years with my family. My mother especially was fond of him for his genuine acts of kindness to her and to our family. RIP Charlie!!!

Jackie, Katherine & Alex, I am so sorry. Words seem so inadequate. Charles was so much more than a boss and co-worker, he was my mentor and friend. He treated me more like a family member than a colleague. He taught me everything I needed to know about the practice of law. His hallmark was civility at all times to others. He made a tremendous impact on my life. I will always be grateful.

It was a pleasure knowing and spending time with Charlie over the better part of 30 plus years, I'll never forget those weekends in Ashland and your quick whit and sense of humor. We will miss you deeply. Take care my friend.

The Mass Municipal Lawyers Association extends its most sincere condolences to our dear friend Jackie, the family and many friends of Charles.  Charles was a much beloved member of the MMLA, having served as a past president and executive director.  He rarely if ever missed a meeting, willing to share his expertise with all. He was a great mentor and friend to many and is greatly missed.

Charles was a lawyer's lawyer and embodied an era of civility in the profession that has long since disappeared.
Rest in peace, my colleague and friend.
