Kate and I met in HS in the 70's we went to different schools but became fast friends.  I moved away we lost track of each other but reconnected 10 or so years ago.  She was in Maine and I was in TX.  Our conversations became more frequent - her quick wit kept me laughing.  I'll miss talking with you!  Much love my friend! I knew Kate as Katie, from our first grade class.  She was sweet and kind, and never wanted anyone to be left out or to feel bad. It sounds like she lived the rest of her life that same way, going into Special Ed.  Peace, Katie.
