To Melissa and family,
My sincere sympathy.  She was truly a great, wonderful and wise "Lady".  Her wisdom helped many people. I had the great fortune of being one of those persons.  Through out the years of 1987-2002, she was a guide, teacher and friend. One last "Thank you Sue"!!

To Melissa, family and friends,
Sorry for this great loss. Sue was a special person and I benefited
from her help. Thank you never seemed enough. She had a special
gift and so many of us benefited from it. I did from 2009 until 2016.

Dear Melissa and family,
I had the pleasure and honor of working with Sue for many years at VCU's School of Social Work.  Her passion for student learning was only exceeded by her own desire to impact change in individuals and families throughout our community. May you and family find comfort in this time of sorrow.  Warmest regards, Tim Davey, Interim Dean.

Will remember Sue as a wonderful part of our extended School of Social Work family.  Like all those who knew, I will treasure the memory of her great smile and wonderful calm and caring spirit always.  Such a true social worker.   Condolences to her family and close friends.

My deepest condolences to Sue's family. I had a sincere pleasure of working with Sue for many years. We worked together when I was a field instructor and she a field liaison. She was there to guide the students' learning. Each and every time we met (along with the student)  I learned so much.  Sue was a master teacher and an authentic soul. She will be missed. Warm regards, Nancy Toscano

I wept this morning to learn of Sue's passing.  Sue was a clear spring in an often dry world.  Just sitting down with her proved soothing.  She exhaled peace and patience.  She listened with compassion, and offered sage advise.  I cannot tally the benefits that her guidance brought to my family, my friendships, my career and my service.  I will always be grateful for the hours we shared.
