I love my cousins-all of them. Carolyn held a special place in my heart because of her love and generosity. May she rest in eternal peace.
Sweat Sixteen! Yes, my first memory of you is when Bob brought you to the family gathering for my 16th birthday party. And there, this beautiful young ‘College Girl’ pronounced in front of everyone, ‘Sweat Sixteen and Never Been Kissed’, where upon you gave me my first great big kiss in front of everyone. I had never been so embarrassed, but yet so proud. Yes, my firsts fond memory of
you. We won’t say how many years ago that was. Many great memories and parties ago, I sit here now the family patriarch, a roll that no one ever thought would be mine. Olav, Gordon, Genevieve, Bob, Peggy, and now you, Carolyn.
When you lose a loved one, you become religious, so until we all meet again, ‘Fondly’ (oh how I hated that phrase). Oh hell, ‘Love’ (their I said it) , your Brothers-in-law, Glenn.
Sending you all love and peace as you process your loss. Her passing has taken me back to my childhood as she was my sister and my daycare Mom for many years. She was a second mom for us both and I know her care helped build the foundations of both of our lives.
