Mom was a beautiful person .She was a thoughtful and selfless. She would do anything for her kids and grand kids . Family mattered to Mom. making connections with others and building relationships meant everything I am so grateful to have such a mother . She has given me so much love and support throughout my life . I love you Mom. You are forever in my heart.
Throughout our lives we are touched by many people. Some will move on quickly and others stay awhile longer. Then there are the most fortunate times that we are linked with a true friend from our formative years throughout our life. There are not many relationships that survive that long but I am blessed to have shared that with my lifelong friend, Carol. We met in first grade and were joined at the hip through elementary school. We moved on through different high schools, married and raised our families on opposite coasts but we had only to reach out and the other was there. How I loved our marathon phone calls and all the laughs and memories we shared. Due to her declining health those calls could not continue but due to her very kind daughter i was still able to send communications and she knew that we were still connected.
Sadly her time on this earth has come to an end but the memories will remain. I will miss you, dear friend, but I know that you are resting in peace and are now with Fred and your parents.
Our Mom was the best. She encouraged and supported all of her kids in their many different interests and endeavors. She was not shy about telling us when we screwed up. She was game for anything - playing "horse" on the basketball court, riding ATVs through the mud while on vacation, playing volleyball in our backyard in Arizona, camping in Rocky Point.
I always looked forward to seeing Carol when I visited Rory, and I remember her fondly. She was always happy, energetic, strong and very interested in making me feel welcome. It was clear she cared about others and loved her family dearly. She will surely be missed.
Dear all - you can attend Carol's Memorial Service virtually tomorrow Monday July 25th at 10:30 am Pacific time at one of the two links below. Rory
