Carl and I had been friends for over 50 years, and I simply cannot say enough good things about him. His generosity, his sense of humor, and his dedication to his family and friends will never be forgotten. I miss him.
Carl and I also go back almost 50 years. He was one of the kindest men I knew; a dedicated father and family man. I hope ours is only a temporary separation, until we meet again in Heaven. You will be missed until then.
I'm so sorry about Carl's passing....I've known Carl for many years, he was a true friend to me when I was going thru some tough times...and I'll never forget how he helped me. I know he will be missed by family and friends. My sincere condolences. I will have nothing but good memories of him. RIP Carl...
Praying many blessings for you and your family. Carl has been a blessing to my family for several years through my father Dexter Monroe and he even assisted in getting new furniture for my husband and I for our new home. Carl was truly a selfless man and I am eternally grateful for his friendship. Rest in paradise

I spent so many days and nights at the Slaughter home. Kristen was my best friend growing up. Mr. Slaughter always had a kind word for me and always treated me like another one of his kids. I'm so sorry to hear of passing and my heart is with Kristen and the rest of family.

My favorite memories with uncle carl will always be at the beach. He was so much fun always staying in the water with all of us kids for hours, boogie boarding and body surfing. He is and will always be greatly missed. Sending so much love to all our family.
Carl was a great friend for 45 years. The kind of friend who when you hadn't seen each other for a while, was always there with a smile and a hug for old times. I'll miss him. But I'll remember him for the rest of my life as a guy who brought people together. Just look at the day he gave us yesterday on the river. Beautiful weather, wonderful family and an overdue reunion of old friends.
Carl,
We miss you old friend.
