Carl was a good friend me and many in our International Students, Inc. UC Santa Cruz program, a friendly greeter, Friendship Partner to grad students, idea-man, sponsor, kind host  and friend to many,  always eager to share Christ's love with everyone through humor and service. I could count on Carl to help me out in many a pinch and to always come up with a wisecrack to make us laugh-- a real man of God.
