Bud was one of the good guys.  He was my thesis advisor at the Naval Postgraduate School (1977-1980)  where he had recruited me into an off-site doctoral program.  I owe that degree to Bud which helped my career immensely.  He was a stained glass master craftsman and one of his windows is in our foyer.  Thanks Bud for being such a good guy!
