Please be kind to each other and the memory of Bruce.
In lieu of flowers, Bruce would want contributions to be made to either Christopher's Haven ("A home for kids when cancer hits home") or the Green Mountain Club ("Maintaining and protecting Vermont's Long Trail since 1910")

My brilliant brother.  Confident, kind, generous, unassuming, I will miss you deeply.

Bruce was a deeply kind and generous man. My children and I are so grateful for his support and encouragement as his generosity made it possible for us to enjoy Seery Hill Horse Camp each summer to spend time with family. I watched the very best of my children emerge as they spent their time learning how to care for animals and, as a consequence, take better care of themselves and others. Bruce's generosity made our quality of life so much better: birthday parties, events and outings we could never have afforded on our own were possible because of his many kindnesses. I was always amazed by his kindness in sharing his intellect as well. He was willing and patient to make the complex world of politics or other challenging subjects, easier to understand through thoughtful conversation and contemplation of others' points of view. So many talents and kindnesses. The world is a much better place because of Bruce.

Bruce - a big brother I always wanted. We shared wonderful, high-quality time in his native Boston and remote shared-vacation locations. Instantly ready to offer his help, assistance, keen insights and wonderful life wisdom. To meet and know him is one of my life’s greatest pleasures. Rest well, my big brother. I am more complete having known you. You will be cherished forever.

My first memory of Bruce was of him sitting on the floor of a Cafe in Oaxaca because there were no chairs available. He was cool with it, his wife Jody amused.I remember thinking,"I like this güey." In time we became best friends, flying down to Oaxaca from opposite sides of the USA to sit on his porch with Jody and contemplate life. He was a very very special man. I really loved this güey.

Bruce will be missed by countless people in all walks of life.  I know him from the restaurant industry where he will always be remembered for his generosity, easy going nature and genuine love for a good conversation.  I will always remember him walking in the North End with that easy stroll that showed no care in the world.

We recently passed March 8 again; three years since Bruce left us and continued his wondrous journey. I think of him often, as the big brother I knew but oh so briefly. Yet, he left an indelible mark on me.  I appreciate the few brief times we shared in various places on this great planet. May his legacy continue and may he be remembered as the wonderful, fun loving person he was.
