Yes Nick , we did had a lot of fun. over the last 40 years .
You were great company ! A best friend . That old saying
" a brother from a different mother " sure applied to us . Fitted like a glove .
Our common interest of coins , football, and the Casino games , Bass fishing .
Caribbean stud , Double Draw , etc kept us close .
Rest in peace Nick . I will join you some day in the Casino in the Sky .. .
Where we will hold court . Your Friend John Kapetanakis
Nick Nick Nick, where to start. We’ve known each other about 40 years. You started coming by our store. Your visits evolved into a deep friendship and eventually you were hanging out with us on a regular basis.Finding we had many things in common. John and you enjoyed your trips to casinos, sometimes for long weekends giving me a break and a mini vacation. You’d join us for many cookouts and more meals than I can remember. I’d meet you and John at restaurants on your way home from Foxwoods and later Mohegan. The three of us had such good times together. You sure enjoyed my cooking, often saying you hadn’t found one thing I made that you didn’t like. You often went home scores of times with home cooked meals. You spent your next to the last Christmas at our house with my sister and us. You had no way of knowing this past Christmas you wouldn’t be home but u dear cadre for your cancer.Your diagnosis knocked the stuffing out of us. As you grew weaker from the chemo and radiation, we stepped up to help you where we could...even if it was just phone calls. I’d see you at your house weekly just fading away and it broke my heart. We sometimes question why God has bad things happen to good people, I can’t answer that. Perhaps he needs good people up there with him.Rest In Peace, we will certainly miss you.Sandra l. Kapetanakis
