hello from berlin , my son Arne and I remember often the great time we had together with big bill , especially our time in the flying club where he was the president . as it was forbidden for us west-berliners surrounded by the regime of DDR , we did not know that it was possible to fly these little air-planes with a stick . we had so much fun together , we will never forget him. jack

Bill was my RC flying buddy.  He taught me how to build them, fly them, and how to compete at a high level in pylon racing and combat.  He was also key in getting me elected as club secretary and assisted and encouraged me with being a contest director for RC combat competition.  Basically, he showed me how to get the maximum enjoyment out of the sport.  I'm grateful to have known him.

I met Bill at my brother's wedding, Michael married Cathy where Bill walked his beautiful daughter down the aisle and danced with her at her wedding...beautiful memories of a very proud and loving father.

I met Bill about 35 years ago, an event that changed the course of my life. I am eternally grateful for his tutelage and counsel. I will always carry the memory of our friendship and good times shared with our wives Susan & Victoria. Bill we love you and miss you.

I only had the pleasure of meeting Bill one time and that was at my brother’s wedding. When Bill walked Cathy down the aisle, he was just beaming with pride and joy as he handed his lovey daughter off to Michael. I remember a very tall and charismatic man making the rounds at the wonderful wedding reception easily talking with everyone and sharing his joy of love and life with us all.

I first met Bill when I was on the Board of Altarena Playhouse.  And I was told that one of our "alums" was going to do a one-man private show.  That was back in 2005 I believe.  Susie and I worked to organize that event at Altarena.  Bill played with his band, and had a grand old time and fantastic show.  Subsequently Bill helped me with fundraising for the theater.  See stories!!

Jeff and I remember how kind Bill was to come visit when Jeff was recovering from throat cancer.  It is not easy visiting folks who are very ill, and it really raised our spirits.  We have such fond memories of Bill's personal generosity.  He was a beacon for us in hard times.
