"Mama Jeanne" was an amazing person who I will miss terribly and with very fond memories. I was blessed to experience her kindness, humor, generosity and faith. I knew that I should ask Mama Jeanne's approval before asking for her daughter's hand in marriage; that experience cemented a 25 year relationship for which I will be forever thankful. You will always be in my heart

Beloved Mother, Mentor and Best Friend. Thank you for the support and unconditional love all my life, the travel experiences and especially the 8 year adventure in Denver with many road trips and patio lounging.

My husband Ron and I met Jeannie and Dale in the late 1980s in Hawaii at Makaha Valley Towers, our winter home.  We enjoyed spending time together golfing, going to the beach and champagne Sunday brunches with dear friends Maran and Russ Milligan, who introduced us.  The four of us had a special friendship that after Jeannie lost Dale and I lost Ron, continued on for many years until Jeannie could no longer come to Hawaii. I miss her wonderful southern accent and her genuine sweetness.  On our girls day lunch and shopping trips, she would hand me the keys to the “Goose”, her big Chrysler sedan, letting me drive while she visited with the other ladies in the car.
We shared many fun times golfing and having clothing exchanges with Arlene Mayfield, Maran Milligans daughter, along with other lovely ladies who also wintered in Hawaii. For over thirty years Jeannie was a special friend to me and my family who also held her dear in their hearts.  Memories will live forever.

We regret that we only met Jeannie a few years ago. It did not take long to be enchanted with her humor, lovely demeanor, engaging smile, and laugh.  Thank you, Jeannie, for enriching our lives.

Oh Jeannie Bean. How lucky I was to get to know and serve you. It made me so happy to make you yummy breakfasts, like fried banana crepes. What a kick you were in this life! You really tickled my funny bone! You allowed so many of us who's moms left too soon to pretend like you were our mom too. Thank you, and thank you, too, Beverly and Joni, for sharing her with us.

I will call myself very lucky to have met and know Jeanne. By coming to Makaha and joining the group at the Saturday Night Steak Burn resulted in many friendships over the years.  Jeanne stood out as a strong personality with a kind, generous heart and a very quick wit.  She will be missed but is joining a very special group who will live on in all our hearts.

I called Jeanne our steel magnolia due to her feisty, no nonsense approach to life tempered by her sweet, soft southern drawl and manners.  We shared prayers at Faith Christian and a few tears and lots of fun over our many years of friendship.  She truly blessed all who knew her.

I will never forget Mama Jeanne !!  We became quick friends and shared 5 wonderful years together while living in her home in Anchorage, Alaska. She was an unforgettable woman with her Southern charm, quick wit and unshakable Faith. She loved fiercely and was extremely loyal to all she trusted. I am grateful to have been invited into her home, family and circle of such great friends.

Jeanne belonged to Anchorage Senior Center as a lifetime member and former Board member.  She will be long remembered as a friend, volunteer, colleague wonderful companion.  She was a barrel of laughs and had so many wonderful memories with all of us.  Though she had been gone from us for over five years, she is still remembered as a person who left joy in her wake!

Of my many memories, her Big Lake home is forefront in my mind. We cooked many dinners in that kitchen and spent hours talking into the night. She was Tasha's nana and always available as my mother-in-law. She taught me that the greatest tragedies can be turned to beauty by always going forward. Jeanne- was a wonderful woman with a wonderful sense of humor and wit.  I am glad to have gotten to know her over the last several years and will miss her laugh, smile and witty remarks.  She had wonderful stories, listened well and was always thoughtful of others.  I will miss her a great deal, but am glad to have known her and better for it.
