My mom loved me. Its seems funny to think about how I knew this as a child but I knew. It didn't seem like love to me at the time but I know today what it was. She loved me enough to punish me when I was a bad boy. To yell at me when I was being inconsiderate. To leave me in charge of three rowdy brothers so I could learn responsibility. That's LOVE.
Your beautiful contagious laughter.... you laughed a lot , it's my earliest memory of you Aunt Betty. I'm so happy we connected by phone before you passed away...but so very sorry it was only the one time. To know you at all is to love you forever.
Betty was the perfect 2nd wife for my father, Bob Garcia. They had a very special relationship. They took care of each other when they were sick and showed us all how to love in Sickness and in Health. They were good friends too sharing friends and all their family with each other. They loved to eat out, watch Ball games, fly pigeons, attend church together and play games.
