A branch has fallen from our tree, and it is not what it was before. It will take awhile to get used to. I take comfort in the new branches that are growing in our children and grandchildren. I have not always been close to Ben, but in the last few years we created a true friendship He was more like a brother to me......... I will miss my friend, my brother - my dad.
When I see his picture I realize he is no longer with me. We had a close relationship over the past 14 years and there are many places and objects which remind me of him. If he were here I know that he would comfort me and help me to realize the temporal nature of this life. Even though he is gone, (remembering the way he thought about certain things) I will still rely on his advice.
Ben and I were best friends. we shared wonderful days together and were great companions. I will love him now and evermore...Doris
My Uncle Benny gave me the opportunity to start over and enjoy the life I have today. Thank you for believing in me Uncle Benny! You have made a difference in many lives, and will be missed tremendously. I love you! Give everyone in Heaven hugs for me. 'Til we meet again, hugs from me, Kristi
Benny, these last few weeks have been tough for mom and I. I come home expecting you to be sitting on the patio writing, reading or fixing something. I will miss you and the good times we all had together. Love you Beckie
It's been more than year and a half since we last talked. I still feel the loss and will carry your memory forever. Rest well old man, perhaps we will know each other again...
Still miss you. I know you will always be in my mind. It was just recently that i was able to dispose of your well worn last pair of shoes. I lamented over that moment, then realized they were just shoes. I wanted to hang onto them: They were a reminder each time i looked at them. They no longer have a place in my closet, but they will always hold a place in my thoughts.
No words are useful anymore. I only hope that there is a "good" place in the universe for folks like you. Rest.
