In 1976 Mrs. Okerman was my second grade teacher at South Fitchburg Elementary School. That was the year that my father passed away. She was always there to give me an extra "squeeze" if she saw that I was having a hard day. She was an incredible woman and educator. I haven't seen her in years, but think of her often. I will truly miss her.
