To My Barry,  Today is Oct 26, 2022 at 4:19 in the morning.  I'm still thinking of you and will aways for the rest of my life.   We had been together for 16 years and engaged for 5 years.  I do missed you very much.  I see orbs flying around my house.  Continued watching over me.  I love you!  Your Mija

We all called him Master Chief back then, but once I made Chief Petty Officer in the Navy, I knew him as Barry.  But prior to this, he was my mentor and role model.  He showed how good a professional senior enlited man could be and did well in setting that example for us all to follow.  I am saddened to realize he has passed on, our last deployment together was in 1995 onboard LPH11

Continued.  He was initially our maintenance control MCPO at AIMD USS New Orleans and during our 1995 westpac, he then got an opportunity to become the ships Command Master Chief (CMC).  I saw him awarded his 1st Meritorious Commendation medal.  He then was at AIRPAC NASNI and the last time I saw him was at my retirement ceremony 2001.  Fair Winds Master Chief Barry
