What a wonderful friendship our families have had over 65 years.  So many amazing memories of adventures together!  And how fortunate that we were able to remain in touch over the years.  Barbara, you are  such an amazing woman, a great role model for your children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Thank you for being you, (and I will never see pearls and not think of you!)

I was lucky to have Barbara's son, John Simpson, as schoolmate at the new Fruitvale Elementary School (now Redwood School). Years later Mrs. Simpson awarded my future wife, Mary Monroe (Waters), an Home Econ. award. Despite Mary's reservation about her talents, Mrs. Simpson must have seen something...we're still together after over 50 yrs! Close to as long as her son John and his wife Sue!
